Judgement Day Part 1

Intro: THE INSTITUTION is at war with a powerful enemy. They have called upon Dillucian, the one person who they believe can salvage them from this dire situation. Will Dillucian be able to save THE INSTITUTION, or will THE INSTITUTION be destroyed by a new enemy?

DISCLAIMER: The following story is purely a piece of fiction. Anyone who reads this will understand that the author is not making any sense as the truth is that H1N1 is VERY DEADLY.

It was my first time walking through those gates. I was looking forward to my appointment with THE LEADER. The sight of those immense, spikey and reinforced gates made me open my mouth in wonder.

"Mouths Shut!!" A voice yelled. I spun around in shock. "Fire!" said the cold, cruel voice of an officer. I didnt know what to do.... I was sweating profusely......What had i done??? As a gun unlike any i had ever seen before was raised to my neck-level, i froze in fear. My life was going to end.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Something hit me across the face. I saw the officer looking for new ammunition to reload. I was confused, i was still alive. I shouted in happiness at my lucky escape....but the shout was muffled. Looking down, i realised that he had shot a mask at my face. It looked like one of those swat masks, just without the goggles. Puzzled, i asked the officer what was going on.

"Now look here, this is a Zero Contamination Zone. We are at war with a powerful enemy. As a safety precaution, you have to cover your mouth at all times. THE LEADER's office is that way," he said, pointing to the entrance of a maze. He must have been expecting me. Looking around, i saw various signs. "STOP H1N1", "Carriers of flu will be prosecuted" and "Maintain distancing of 3m. Failure to do so will result in a fine" where just some of the signs.

I wondered what this H1N1 was. It seemed like a powerful enemy, capable of infiltrating human bodies. From the gates, various CCTV cameras, armed officers and ambulances, I guessed that this Institution was the target of a powerful enemy, seeking to destroy Men who got too close to each other, seeking to destroy Fools who crossed the various chains around the Institution, seeking to destroy those who dared to linger one second too long after hours. As I marvelled at the security, it hit me that the maze was not just a maze- it was a Weeder, seeking to kill all those who coughed, or sneezed, or were just feeling hot.

Raffles Model United Nations 2009

Well, when i first decided to join RMUN, i had no idea what to expect. I was even regretting it towards the competition dates. But oh was this a memorable experience. A great platform to do sth new, to meet new ppl and to have fun. Dinner and dance was a unique experience indeed.....and there was tat cruel no.23......

Council sessions in General Assembly One did have many funny moments. If only we came up with crappy resolutions like ECOSOC. HAHA.

This has indeed been one heck of an experience, and im looking forward to the next council outing. XD.

Term 2

Well, as can be seen from my long absence from blogging, term 2 was SUPER BUSY...... what with all the spamming of projects and tests and countless things to take care of, term 2 just zoomed by......

And thx to those who bought be that magic thingy for my birthday. XD

well, carn really remember much that happened in term 2 as it was all a blur.

.22 revolver competition: OMG, i dunno what happened. Firstly, those stupid guns kept jamming........ secondly, some fired even after jamming......... Well, and i thought i was a marksman. anyway, gd luck to the 2nd team, consisting mostly of sec 3s......... embarrassing........

Now that term 2 has ended, let us look forward to the end of this busy, frantic, blur of a year:2009

March Hols

Phew, im exhausted. But not as exhausted as i would be during sch. lol. Term 1 had been CHAOTIC, the fastest term in my life. The agony of maths and mt and all the lessons seemed like eternity but the whole term was like a second. Furthermore, my grades are dropping. SIGH. maybe its just cause its the first few tests. like my tas-i flung them.

Anyway, i was invested into the CEC on 10th march as a monitor. CEC investiture was great, probably grander than prefects' investiture. there were cool lights and sounds and indoor fireworks. Kudos to mr law. I shall try my best to be a good monitor and bring my class closer together. GO 4A!

The march hols also passed by relatively quickly. I was sick for the most part of it, grrrrrrrrrr. I wanted to go NCO Camp, seeing how fun it was, but with all the headaches and all..... CEC training on monday was fun. my partner, Sang ju, and i trained some sec 1 CEC members. The seniors also had fun working together. XD. i had fun . And i owned in Polar Bear. haha. single handedly eliminated the villagers. HAHA. anyway, thx to sang ju. He's a really nice guy and im glad i met him. He really knows what he is doing.

I also performed my 2nd stage magic show for the PSGM Finale. it was much better than the sec 3 year end one, but there was a tiny mess. Lucky no one 'saw' anything although i flashed.

March hols is almost ending and still got loads of work. well, im not surprised.

Exchange Students

Hi all,

im rather bored today, which accounts for the 3 posts today. lol

Anyway, 4A has been lucky enough to have 2 groups of exchange students so far. First, we had 2 Australians, whom we hosted for 2 weeks. I wanted to be one of their buddies but Derek is................... Anyway, i'm still keeping in touch with them. Our 2nd group was Indonesians (5 of them). They just spent their last day with us yesterday. Hope they had fun in RI and Singapore.

Personally, i think that this programme is very beneficial to us as not only do we get to know about other cultures and education systems, we also get to make new friends. Hopefully we have many more of such programmes.

NPCC

At last the Sec 1s have joined NPCC training. They are a rather fun bunch, though lacking discipline. But its propably cause they are new. Maybe my squad was like tat too 3 years ago. Anyway, hope they become good cadets. I believe the NCOs for the squad are rather good. So should be no problem.

SPF And SI nominations

the spf nominations have finally been sent. This is the most prestigious badge one can get in npcc. Hope i get it. XD. Although I wont get the SI rank, i think i should not worry too much about it. KSP should have his reasons. Oh well, just have to work harder. And do NPCC some good.

Hopefully the change in maturity seen in the pictures are reflective of reality. XD

Year Head Assembly 08

i know this is way overdue, but i just wan to thank Mr Law for the wonderfull assembly. I know he spent a lot of money and time on it. And it was my first stage magic show. haha. Lots of room for improvement, though i think the snow effect was rather nice with the fog and all. XD. The balloon event on the field was great. It was really a moment to remember, when 500 balloons covered the blue sky.
